Kids' Academy

Lake Geneva Schools is proud to offer our Kids' Academy summer programs! This year, our 4K-5th grade program will take place at Central-Denison, our 6th-8th grade program at Lake Geneva Middle School, and our new 6th grade Adventures program (Limited Enrollment) at Eastview. While at Kids' Academy, students will enjoy a variety of engaging academic classes and enrichment experiences. They are bound to have a great time while engaged in learning! Registration is open March 1 through May 15, 2026.

If you are not a current Lake Geneva Schools Family, please the contact District Office at 262-348-1000 to begin the Kids' Academy registration process.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN MARCH 1 THROUGH MAY 15, 2026

Please note that fees will be assessed after Kids' Academy Registration has closed. Instructions for payment will be emailed home at that time. Fees will be available inside the PowerSchool portal.

Kids' Academy Program Offerings

Kids' Academy Elementary School (4K-5th Grade)

Elementary Students can participate in two two-week sessions. All classes are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Central-Denison Elementary School.

Session 1: June 15 - June 26, 2026 | Students Entering Grades 5K-5th
Session 2: July 6 - July 17, 2026 | Students Entering Grades 4K-5th

Transportation & Care

Bus transportation is available from designated locations.
Wrap-around care is available through the YMCA at Central-Denison (with busing to Eastview) from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wrap-around care is an additional fee.

Kids' Academy 6th to 8th Grade

6th Grade Adventures

Students entering 6th can participate in a two-week session. All classes are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Eastview Elementary School.

Session 1: July 6 - July 17, 2026

Program Description
This is an energetic, physically active program designed to get students moving, exploring, and learning outside the classroom. Activities include:

Regular walks to local businesses and community venues throughout the City of Lake Geneva
Guided hikes and outdoor games at nearby parks and trails
Indoor, hands‑on STEAM activities that reinforce learning and build teamwork
Community‑based learning experiences that connect students with local partners
& more!

Safety & Expectations
To keep everyone safe and ensure a positive experience, students must:

Be physically able and willing to participate in walking, hiking, and other active experiences
Demonstrate a strong eagerness to follow directions and behave respectfully on field trips and in public spaces
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor activities (tennis shoes recommended) and bring water, sunscreen, and a small backpack for daily needs

Supply Fees

4K - 5th Grade Elementary Program:
All participants pay a $50 per 2-week session supply fee. Please note that this is a non-refundable supply fee. If you cancel, for any reason, the $50 per session fee will not be returned.

6th - 8th Grade Middle School Program:
All participants pay a $25 per 1-week session supply fee. Please note that this is a non-refundable supply fee. If you cancel, for any reason, the $25 per session fee will not be returned.

6th Grade Adventures Program:
All participants pay a $100 per 2-week session supply fee. Please note that this is a non-refundable supply fee. If you cancel, for any reason, the $100 per session fee will not be returned.

Participation Fee

FREE to all Lake Geneva Joint #1 students and residents of Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District.

Non-District/Resident Students:

4K - 5th Grade Elementary Program:
$400 per 2-week session (in addition to the supply fee). Please note that this non-refundable. If you cancel, for any reason, the fee will not be returned.

6th - 8th Grade Middle School Program:
$200 per 1-week session (in addition to the supply fee). Please note that this non-refundable. If you cancel, for any reason, the fee will not be returned.

6th Grade Adventures Program:
$500 per 2-week session (in addition to the supply fee). Please note that this non-refundable. If you cancel, for any reason, the fee will not be returned.

YMCA Wrap-Around Care

The Geneva Lakes Family YMCA will provide wrap-around care before and after Kids' Academy Elementary and the 6th Grade Adventures Program. The wrap-around care will take place at Central-Denison Elementary School with busing to Eastview Elementary School for 6th Grade Adventures students. Wrap-Around Care Hours:
Morning Care: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
After Care: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
