School Boards
The Lake Geneva Joint #1 School Board is made up of five citizens elected at large by voters in our district. The Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union (Badger) High School Board is made up of seven citizens elected at large by voters in our district. The Superintendent facilitates the word of the Boards and is responsible to the Boards for providing leadership to the District and carrying out our Mission and Vision.
The Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union (Badger) High School Board meets on the second Monday of each month. The Lake Geneva Joint #1 School Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings occur at the Lake Geneva Schools District Administration Center (208 E. South Street, Lake Geneva, WI 53147) unless otherwise specified. Agendas are available 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting. Board minutes are accessible to the public in BoardDocs.
Responsibilities of our School Boards
As the elected governing body of Lake Geneva Schools, the School Boards are responsible to:
- Evaluate the Superintendent, who oversees and manages the School Districts.
- Establish policy.
- Review & approve the annual budget and ensure that the necessary facilities and equipment is available to support staff, teachers, and students.
- Partner with the Superintendent to establish, maintain, and promote the strategic plan.
- Monitor the progress towards the school districts goals.
- Advocate for all students.
About Our Schools Boards
School Board Awards
If you wish to nominate a student, faculty, staff, parent or community member for a Board of Education Recognition Award, please use the following links to complete the online nomination forms. Forms should be submitted two weeks prior to the board meeting. Board meetings are scheduled on the second Monday of the month for Lake Geneva-Genoa City (Badger) UHS School Board and the second Tuesday of the month for Lake Geneva Joint #1 School Board. Any nominations received after the two-week cut-off will be moved to the following month’s board meeting.
Achievement Plus Award
The Achievement Plus Award is given to a student that has shown exceptional achievement.
Involvement Plus Award
The Involvement Plus Award is given to a parent or community member who has shown involvement in the school districts.
Results Plus
Award
A Results Plus Award is granted to a district staff member who has gone above and beyond in the districts.
